Legislative News and Information
Important message from your PTSA:
According to State Senator Dan Gelber and Representative Anitere Flores, it is time for parents to get angry. Please write your Florida and United States Senators and Representatives and request that they fund public education in order to help the economy of our state. Better yet, schedule an appointment at their local office and tell them in person! Miami-Dade County Public Schools currently has the smallest administrative cost per student in the entire state. MDCPS has reduced its budget by over $300 million this fiscal year. These cuts are starting to affect our students. Further cuts are going to hamper this State's ability to compete on a global scale as we currently lack an educated workforce large enough to attract diversified corporations into this state.
