In order to be a volunteer in Dade County Public Schools, you
must now fill out an on-line Volunteer Registration (even if you
have had a volunteer number in a previous year). There are
several methods in order to complete the online registration
process.
(1) If you have successfully logged on to the “Parent Portal”
you can click on the Services/Sites tab and then click “Be a
School Volunteer!” in the “My Services” section.
(2) If you cannot log into the “Parent Portal” or if your
spouse or family member also wants to register as a volunteer,
you can use the “Community Portal.” Use the following link:
http://myportal.dadeschools.net/community/
This will require you to set up a username and password before
you are able to register as a volunteer.
(3) Once you have completed all the information on-line, you
must bring a copy of your driver’s license to the school office
to complete the registration procedure.
(4) Do you plan to be a volunteer at multiple schools? That
question will come up in the on-line process and you will be
able to indicate all the schools.
(5) During the online process, there will be a section to
indicate what level volunteer you are. If you have already been
fingerprinted as a Level 2 Volunteer you will NOT need to be
fingerprinted again.
(6) Need to be fingerprinted? Upon approval of the principal,
contact (305) 995-7472 for an appointment.
(7) Need to become a Certified Volunteer? Upon approval of
the principal, contact (305) 995-2752 for training information.
(8) If you used the Parent Portal, your volunteer number will
your login number for the parent portal that starts with a "P".
If you used the community portal, it will be your login that
starts with a "C".
